About Me

Every woman deserves to love how she looks

Your own beauty can be a source of joy. Personal style can give you new courage to show up in the world. A glimpse of yourself in a mirror can bring you comfort and help re-centre.

No matter what your look like, your beauty is always there. Because when your clothing and styling shares lines, scale, and shapes with your face and body, the inevitable result is beauty.

I’ve always enjoyed style and wanted to look and feel beautiful. As I’m sure many of you can relate to, that has been a lifelong challenge. I’ve been through my fair share of dejected moments in fitting rooms, seeing my carefully selected stack of hopefuls turn into rejects, one after another. And when the clothes were all wrong, it was easy to feel like something was wrong with me, too.

However, as an experimental researcher by training (I have a master’s in biology and functional morphology), I began to wonder, then think, then analyse. What qualities—colour, cut, length, detailing, volume, texture, fabric —make a piece of clothing flattering and right, something I’ll cherish for years? What makes a piece look awkward and wrong?

I dove deep into human body and face shapes, as well as fashion history and modern apparel design. Gradually I uncovered how style and colour work, and patterns emerged that took my breath away. The ways our different proportions interact with different silhouettes, hemlines, and fabric weights. How the shapes of our faces harmonise with necklines that echo them. How colours can uplift and highlight who you are, rather than take over or dull down.

All my learning transformed how I see myself, and led me to create my own unique style system based on the real shapes of our human physiology: Align. Alongside, I trained as a colour analyst but eventually abandoned the seasonal approach in favour of my own comprehensive system: Sphere.

Now I teach my systems for beauty and style to others. Over the past 8 years, I’ve worked with hundreds of people from 18 different countries. My focus is not on what’s trending, but on real, wearable clothes that look like they belong on you, that you will love to wear for years. I work hard to make beauty and style logical, understandable, and accessible to my clients. And I absolutely love when my clients discover how beautiful they look with the simplest of changes.

Before this all started, I instinctively knew could I look beautiful; I just struggled to make it real, make it visible. Now, I simply know how to bring out my unique beauty through clothes and styling that resonates with me, whenever I feel like it. And I want you to have that too.

I look forward to working with you!

About ÆQUITELA

The name Æquitela is a combination of the Latin words ‘aequi/equi’, which means ‘equal’, ‘proportionate’, and ‘fair’ among other translations; and ‘tela’, which means ‘fabric’ or ‘cloth’. When combined in these particular combinations, it translates into the core values of Æquitela:

  • ‘Equal cloth’ – We are cut from the same cloth.
We are all made of the same stuff, and we all have equal potential for beauty. That beauty will end up looking different for each individual, but how that beauty comes about is the same principle, and process, for all of us. So it doesn’t matter what size, shape, colour, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation and health status you have, real beauty is possible for everyone.
  • ‘Proportionate fabric’ – Beauty stems from balance: both in colours and proportions.
When your shape and colours of your clothes connect to the proportions and colours of your body, the very ‘fabric’ of you, real beauty is inevitable.
  • ‘Fair fabric’ – We want fair fashion, with respect for makers, materials and Mother Earth
When people know exactly what they want and need from their clothes, they will buy only the things that they know will add value to their lives, in the best quality they can afford. That opens the door to purposeful production, using more sustainable methods to create higher quality garments, and drastically reduces fashion waste.

At ÆQUITELA, all that we make, do and write is 100% done by humans, and free from AI.
