ALIGN FAQ

What does the process of getting an Align analysis look like?

When you make an appointment by choosing a date for your Kickstarter session (at least two weeks in advance), you’ll be asked fill your name, country, and your height and shoe size. You will also find instructions for making pictures – these are also included below.

Pictures need to be sent via email or other file share method. After I’ve received the pictures, I send you a digital invoice (clients from the Netherlands might e-transfer if they prefer).

In the meantime, I get started on your analysis and prepare your materials. Then both of us are ready for your first online appointment, the Kickstarter session. You’ll receive an automated email after that to book your second call, the Deep-dive session. Idem to book your final call, the Q&A session.

What are the instructions for taking pictures?

To do your analysis, I need the following pictures:

  • Your face, seen from the front
  • Your face, seen from the side
  • Your face, seen from the front with your hand held up next to your face –
  • Full length from your head to your feet, seen from the front
  • Full length from your head to your feet, seen from the side

Guidelines for taking pictures

  • Wear tight fitting clothes that show the outline of your body. A tank top with leggings works fine, so is gym wear or swimwear. If you can, use lighter coloured fabrics.
  • Stand in front of a standard sized door
  • Make sure you have good lighting (artificial or daylight doesn’t matter, as long as it’s not dim)
  • Take the full- length pictures from the level of your midriff, to avoid distortion in the upper or lower body. Ask a partner or friend, or use a tripod and timer or remote. Make sure your feet are also in the frame
  • If you want to wear regular day makeup, that’s fine. Just don’t go overboard :).
Does my body type change when I gain or lose weight?

No, it does not. Align body types are defined by the proportions that are locked in your bone structure. When you gain or lose weight, the shape of your bones does not change. So your body type doesn’t either. So while you will need a different size after weight changes, the characteristics of your clothes will be the same.
